Big brothers BIG SISTERS

OF SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana seeks to ignite the power and promise of youth throughout our communities. We operate in communities all across the South Central Indiana area. Our mentors work with children in the community, in their schools, at after-school clubs, and many places in between. Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring has a Big impact all over the nation.

Adult “Bigs”, age 18 or older, are matched with Littles in a one-to-one mentoring relationship and spend time together doing activities in their community. Through friendship, Bigs experience the joy of helping children discover a world of opportunities.

We  kicked off our Bigs In Badges (BIB) program in the start of 2020. Our  BIB program includes police, firefighters, EMTs, Conservation Officers, and more! Bigs in Badges typically spend an hour or so a week with a child during lunch or in their enrichment hour hanging out, doing fun activities, and enjoying the time together. This program is critical to bridging gaps in our community.
