Crew Carwash to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the state.

Crew Carwash, an Indiana-based family business, will partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters for its sixteenth annual Crew for Kids fundraiser.

As part of its Crew for Kids fundraiser, Crew has committed to donating 50 percent of the proceeds from all Ultimate Washes sold to Big Brothers Big Sisters, along with all cash and credit donations. The event will take place at all 48 Crew Carwash locations throughout Indiana and Minnesota.

In total, this event has raised more than $1,200,000 for the BBBS since its inaugural Crew for Kids fundraiser in 2010.

“We are thrilled to support their mission to create positive relationships through one-on-one mentoring” said Sally Grant, Executive Vice President of Crew Carwash. “We’ve witnessed first-hand the significant impact Big Brothers Big Sisters has on the youth in our community.”

Collectively, more than $9 million has been raised through 72 different 100 Cooks Who Care events across multiple Old National Bank regions to benefit local organizations.

What makes the event so special? Imagine 100 of Bloomington’s most notable people (bankers, attorneys, physicians, educators, and business leaders from every endeavor, or anyone who is well known to the public) retreating into their respective kitchens to concoct their favorite dish. After careful and loving preparation, the chef creatively decorates his serving station, dons his favorite costume in an effort to entice the crowd of friends, family, and fellow community members to take a nibble of their specialty cuisine.

The prize: The Top Chef award and bragging rights for the next year!

The Top Chef award is really based on who raises the most money for the beneficiary through “tips” collected, or any other fundraising efforts the chefs can dream up. Did we mention bragging rights?

For the $75 per person admission price, you will be treated to local wine, craft beer, spirits as well as a cash bar, a chance to bid on and possibly win a variety of silent auction items, and all the usual offerings of a non-profit fundraiser in a much more relaxed, carefree atmosphere. You will also have 100 different food options for their tasting pleasure, all while enjoying one of the most extraordinary social events of the year!
